Kelly Germain

Kelly started playing volleyball in sixth grade. She earned four high school varsity letters for the George
Jenkins Eagles in Lakeland, Florida. She was a member of the 2011, 2013, and 2014 District
Championship teams and helped the Eagles to a Regional Finals runner-up finish in 2013 and 2014. She
was Third Team All-County in 2012 as a sophomore after finishing second in the county in kills and third
in the state in hitting percentage. She was Second Team All-County in 2013 as a junior after leading her
team in kills and digs and won the Best Offensive Player award, and in 2014 as a senior, she was First
Team All-County, won the Best Offensive Player award, and was deemed county Player of the Year. Kelly
played club ball for Southern Select and helped lead her team to the National Qualifiers in 2012 and
2013.
In 2015, Kelly signed to played collegiate volleyball at Florida Tech here in Melbourne. She was a six-
rotation outside hitter for the panthers for all four years. She was named to the FIT Athletic Director’s
Honor Roll and the Sunshine State Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2016-2018. She also won
the volleyball Student Athlete of the Year award in 2017 and 2018. She finished second on the team in
kills her sophomore and junior year, and led the team in kills her senior year. Her senior year statistics
include 326 kills, 240 digs, 25 assists, 25 blocks, and 10 service aces.
Kelly still competes in volleyball today, both in an indoor coed league and the occasional beach
volleyball tournament. She coached mini club in 2021 and is excited about the 2022 club season.
