This is Coach Christi's second year coach at Beach Wave. She took a few years off cheering on her daughter, Kiana, from the sidelines but is back taking on the head coaching position of our 14 Elite team along side her husband, Coach Pat. Christi began playing volleyball at the age of 9.  Coached through High School by her dad, she was a 4-year Varsity player at Port Charlotte High School receiving many accolades throughout that time to include All Area player of the year as a Senior.  Over the years she was blessed with many opportunities to train with high level players, including former Olympians, Olympic coaches and AVP players.  Additionally, throughout her High School and college years she was invited to be camp instructor over many summers for California Volleyball Camps run by both Ian Gregory (a former Olympic Coach) and her father.
After Graduating from High School, Christi went on to play at BCC for one year and then on to play Div 1 for Appalachian State University in North Carolina where she both set and played as Defensive Specialist.
During her time at BCC, she met (her now husband) Pat Dalton.  Once she graduated, she moved back to Melbourne and the couple raised their family here for the last 23 years.  Christi continued her involvement in the volleyball community by playing in various leagues in the area as well as coaching the first ever girls’ volleyball team at Florida Air Academy.  As their daughter began to show an interest in volleyball at the same age as Christi, they sought out the best program to start her training and landed at Beach Wave volleyball club where their daughter has played for the last 5 years.  She is excited to be part of the Beach Wave family as both a parent AND coach!
