PURCHASING A MEMBERSHIP
In order to begin the membership purchase process, the athlete/member will need to create a free SportsEngine account or login to their existing SportsEngine account (they may already have one through other organizations that use SportsEngine).
Click here for an overview of this process.

There will be a series of questions to determine what type of membership will need to be purchased for the member.  When you get to the checkout page, you will see two “transactions” that equal the total membership price.  One transaction represents the fees going to the Florida Region and the other represents the fees going to USAV.  This is different than in the past.  You will still be charged the same amount – you are just going to see an itemized breakdown.  You may also see two separate charges (totaling the amount of your membership) on a credit card statement.

After a membership is purchased, you may receive an e-mail outlining the additional steps necessary to become eligible to participate (if required).  This can include a background screening, SafeSport training, etc.  Your account will also show these requirements.
If a family has multiple members, they can all have their membership information in the same master account, using one set of login credentials called a “family account."  This is different than past seasons.  In the old system, all individuals had to have their own login.

CLUB INVITATION/AFFILIATION
When a membership is purchased, members will not have the option of associating with a club at the time of purchase. There are two steps that will need to happen before members are affiliated with a club.

1. Invitation to the club directory - The club the member wishes to affiliate with must add the member to the club's member directory as the first step of the affiliation process. Once the club invites the member to the member directory, the member will receive an email to accept this invite.

2. Invitation to officially affiliate with the club - After the member has been added to the club's member directory, the club will send a second invitation and if the member accepts it, they will then be officially associated with that club for the duration of the season.  This process must happen before a player or coach can be placed on a roster. An individual must have a membership before accepting this invitation. If the clubs send an invitation to someone without a current membership, the individual will be directed to purchase a membership before the association will be completed.

ATHLETES WILL ONLY AGREE TO COMMIT TO ONE CLUB FOR THE FULL SEASON!

Athletes should ONLY accept an invitation from a club in the USAV Membership system once they have signed the official Florida Region of USA Volleyball Player Commitment Form.

Once an athlete has participated in a regional or national qualifying/bid event, athlete transfers/releases are bound by the transfer/release rules of the Girls’ Junior National Qualifier/Spring Championships/Championships or the Boys’ Junior National Bid/Championships manuals. Please refer to the respective manual of the events above for further clarification.
USAV ACADEMY/JR. OFFICIATING COURSES
In the new system, the Jr. Officiating Courses that an athlete is required to take will be automatically uploaded into their SportsEngine Profile. Click this link for more information about the courses and requirements for each member.
SAFESPORT TRAINING
If you require SafeSport training, the system will send you a link via e-mail to complete the training.  The system will automatically load which training is appropriate for you (Core vs. Refresher) and be available in your profile for you to complete. Junior athletes  who are 18, or who will turn 18 during the season, will register for a membership that automatically enrolls them in SafeSport.
